Moby D

Avshalom Pollak Dance Threatre

Moby D. is a  is a unique collaboration between Avshalom Pollak Dance Theater and the esteemed artists David Polonsky and Michael Faust. In their new work, they deal with the elusiveness of human language, as described by French philosopher Jacques Derrida: "Language is not perceived as an objective representation of reality, but as a collection of discrepancies that create a 'free play' of meaning. Language is built of layers of hidden meanings, some of which even the writer may not be aware of."

A collaboration with the musician  Umitaro Abe for his album "Le plus beau livre du monde". “Ever-newer waters flow on those who step into the same river.” (Heraclitus)

Water, as a field of emotions, is a stage for the creation of a world from which we are made, in which we create and change. A magnifying glass that purifies and distorts. A place where you can hide and discover new worlds.
