About.

Hi!

My name is Marta. I’m a Polish–Norwegian dancer born in Stavanger, Norway who has worked in the field of dance for over 16 years.

Since graduating from Khio in Oslo, my work has taken me to stages in several countries, performing works by choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Ingun Bjørnsgaard, and Hege Haagenrud.

Alongside freelancing, I spent nearly a decade as a member of Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Company, performing and touring internationally with the company’s repertoire.

I am currently based in Oslo, and my freelance work and creative projects regularly take me to other parts of Europe.

As a performer, I’m drawn to storytelling and the blending of theatre and dance. I enjoy close collaborations that allow for co-creation and exploration. Humor, sadness, and distorted beauty are recurring threads in my expression.

The physical aspect of dance is important to me, and I keep a daily practice of ballet, gaga, floorwork, pilates, and yoga. In recent years I have also been developing my own choreographic projects.

My journey.

My professional career began in 2009 with The Swedish Riksteatern and Batsheva Dance Company, touring with Ohad Naharin’s Kamuyot in Sweden and Israel.

From 2010–2014, I freelanced in Oslo, collaborating with choreographers such as Hege Haagenrud and Christopher Arouni. During this time, I met Ingun Bjørnsgaard and joined her company, Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt, for several productions. This is also when i first began exploring my own choreographic work, resulting in the duet "Idunns Epler" with Marie Male Kalstø for Ravnedans Festival.

In 2014, I joined Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Company (later Avshalom Pollak Dance Theatre) in Tel Aviv, where I danced for almost ten years. During this time, I toured internationally with the company’s repertoire, participated in new creations, and worked with guest choreographer Andrea Martini. I also performed in several commercials, and in 2021 I appeared as the lead character in a music video for Israeli artist Or Dromi.

Since returning to freelancing in 2023, I work with artists such as Rebecca Laufer & Mattheus Van Russum, Hege Haagenrud, Butoh Encounters and Joy Kammin.

I have also been developing my own choreographic work, including the duet "The Spell with Marta Kosieradzka, which won 3rd prize at the Warsaw Dance Competition 2024 and has since been expanded into a full-length evening performance in Poland.

Classes.

My classes mix simple technical exercises with imagination, encouraging dancers to explore movement in their own way. I focus on stamina through simplicity and use playful approaches rather than a fixed method, aiming to build strength, memory, and creativity.

I have taught workshops, warm-ups, and repertoire for Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt and Avshalom Pollak Dance Theatre, as well as open classes through PRODA. Inspired by my work with them, I often bring playful echoes of their movement into my classes.
